We are excited about re-opening our shop on April 1st. This year we will offer for sale an even greater variety of lavender plants.

Also, this Spring we will expand our "Enchanted Garden". Designed and built by Eddy Foisy, the garden allows children and adults alike to let their imaginations wander. A shade garden, the plantings surround a miniature stone replica of a medieval castle. Hidden among the varieties of plants, faerie house portals add to the fantasy, the wonder, and the experience nature is always ready to give us.

Cape Cod Lavender Farm is located on 12 secluded acres overlooking Island Pond in Harwich on Cape Cod. It is one of the largest lavender farms on the East Coast with more than 14,000 plants. It is surrounded by 60 acres of conservation land with woodland walking trails. The farm, owned by Cynthia and Matthew Sutphin, is also the home of their family. Cynthia's youngest daughter, Anna, has worked every summer at the farm since its inception. While she's a teacher in the off-season, her devotion and management skills keep the shop running smoothly in the summer. In total, three generations enjoy and tend to the farm.

Cape Cod Lavender Farm opened in 1995 when we invited local Cape Codders to attend our harvest. The lavender farm is typically in bloom late June through early July (weather dependent). We started business with two bestselling products, plants and loose lavender buds, and we were inspired to create even more. Now we sell over 20 lavender products, including home décor, culinary, and mind-body-spirit needs.

Our customer greeters, Sumo, Gingko, and Millie (our pooches) welcome more than 10,000 visitors per year to our farm, including artists, writers, photographers, and people wanting to learn and experience the wonders of lavender on Cape Cod.

In the spring 2013 we will expand our Enchanted Garden. Designed and built by Eddy Foisy, the garden allows children and adults alike to let their imaginations wander. We have a shade garden with plantings around a miniature stone replica of a medieval castle. Hidden among the varieties of plants, faerie house portals add to the fantasy, the wonder, and the experience nature is always ready to give us.

During harvest time in June and July, the beauty of the fields in bloom at the Cape Cod Lavender Farm is truly spectacular. Bustling with activity as the fresh lavender is picked and sold in baskets or bunches, and shaken to collect buds filled with everlasting fragrant oils, we are happy and uplifted by the effort—and the joy it brings to our visitors.

We welcome you to enjoy the scenery and scents. Cape Cod Lavender Farm is also an ideal location for unique and special events. Come enjoy a relaxing walk around the Farm, visit our gift shop, and relax among the fragrant fields.

Do you know what makes lavender so versatile? A simple whiff can make your days less stressful and more enjoyable. When you inhale the fragrance of lavender, the natural oils help you sleep more soundly, regain a sense of calmness, and relieve stress. Taking deep breaths of our lavender and soy candles on rainy days, to dabbing lavender essential oil on your pulse points before you go to sleep, or squeezing a freshly picked bunch of lavender. Each can make a great difference in the day.

We hope to see you at the farm soon. Namaste.
